** Check out my Linky Party on Tuesday!

Who doen't love a sparkly skirt? This circle skirt tutorial is so easy and fun thanks to the math that MADE made easy for us!
Next up I want to make one for myself, and even have the fabric purchased and ready to go :) For some reason sewing for me always hits the back burner though!
I use the string method to make my circle
Minor changes I made: I sewed in a lining, the sequins fabric was a bit see-through! So I used a matching purple cotton to line it.
I sewed right sides together, then flipped it and sewed along the edge to keep it properly lined up
I sewed the elastic so that it would be on the top of the skirt. This was the hardest part to keep lined up for me! (Next time I may try sewing it so that I sew the elastic to the inside of the skirt then flip it up.)
my spunky girl :)

So cute!! :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous skirt! I like anything that sparkles! I discovered circle skirts last year when one of my daughters started dancing! I love how easy they are - think I need to make myself a sparkly one - but I don't think I'd dare wear it out in public at my age! Would it be excessive to make one to do the housework in??
ReplyDeleteI would love if you came over and linked this project to my weekly Round Tuit party at:
